I have not used one personally, BUT have heard good things for the money.
You can get that same package from Rick at Sweet Dreams detectors for a better deal. Great guy to deal with.

will the delta 4000 work on salt water beaches as I spent 2 outings using my discovery 1100 and not finding anything to realize my 1100 doesn't work on salt water beaches it would only work up to 1 inch depth or surface area so I don't want 2 detectors that wont work in my areas

Such as Garrett Sea Hunter, or Tesoro Sand Shark. No Matter what anyone tells you about any VLF detector ( as I have seen the Ground Balance Bla Bla) on a certain other site just doesn't work, at least to the standards people are expecting. There is an exception to the VLF rule, and that is multi frequency machines, and they are not cheap. Rick

As he already has a VLF detector I was thinking he was looking for something that works without all "the noise".

He talked me into a Tesoro and it should be good Just waiting for it to be sent. From what I hear the 8000 is the way to go. I might have to look at one of them. I am not sure if the ACE 250 is good for normal hunting or it is just a beginner tool. Which I am.
