You gotta like the old stuff! Nice finds! Did you ID THE button yet? Are you sure that's a musket ball? Looks like steel or iron.

Did not officially ID the musket ball, came up as the same numbers as the Minnie ball bullets I was digging up in another field. Good point though, I should do a bit more research, love this hobby. As for the button, it looks like the style that we use to wear when we all wore the green uniforms, maybe 1960's on, but we wore them as late as the late 80's I believe. Not quite sure what era this is from, more research ;-)
