As my finds are starting to pile up, I am looking for a way to ensure they don't corrode into oblivion. I have ordered a jar of Renaissance wax, but I'm looking for ideas to clean/prep the metal before I apply the wax.
Any ideas or links would be appreciated.
Cheers
Tony

What type of small objects would you clean with a rock tumbler, without the fear of damaging the item?

This is an example of how I approach the problem when I refurbish a hand plane. When You are done, pop the part into the oven and heat it up to stop it from going orange. Or use a torch. While it's still warm, wax it with paste wax and that will keep it nice for years to come.
Everyone has their own variation of the technique, they all work.
