Decided to hit a few spots in Berwick yesterday, not very productive at all. The ground was hard as a rock and the trash made my detector smoke ;-) Pretty much a bust, all I have to show for it is the usual clad, a toasted large cent and a few bullet casings (photos enclosed that were jammed together when I found them. One shell is the Dominion 303 British, which I have no trouble finding info on, the other one not so much. The headstamp on the other one is REM-UMC 45 GOVT. I can find a lot of info on the REM-UMC and the 45-70 GOVT, but not the 45 GOVT. If any body has any info, please pass on.

I'll have to ask my buddy, but he was telling me a while back about the practice of jamming two casings togther like that for some reason or another. Maybe to store matches or something... Will find out.
