Got out yesterday, weather, and conditions were as perfect as one could expect. I'm thinking that there was a house site here, but that some of the goodies have sunk out of reach as the soil was very soft, and I did dig a couple of holes at least a foot deep. ZDD dug a HUGE skeleton key,or most of one, a watch winder, and a US large cent. I dug the jews harp, first one this year, then I eyeballed the piece of a clay pipe, then a shoe buckle piece came out, at that point I was expecting something good to happen, well I did pull out a small silver, didn't have any water with me so I couldn't see just what it was, but was hoping Victorian, but that wasn't the case, turned out to be 1918, my newest silver of the year. BTW DS it's only my 7th silver of the year. Averaging about one every three hunts. Guess I'm stuck here today (sad face) The 1918 5¢ ZDD "going in" Good luck out there.

That's not a bad take in my books! Love the harp, never found one. You did better than me, two hours of bushwacking netted me some old square nails, old bits of iron, beer cans and one old shell casing. There's old stuff there, you just have to find it! Didn't help either the ATP was on it's last battery bar either.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your post, cool finds as usual Rick!
Cheers, DS

No hijack there, and no appology needed. I wish there was more discussion, and member participation here.
Why do people join, and make one post... or none ?

I know at times things get ridiculously busy and all i have time to do is have a quick read, no posts. There are probably lots that just hang around looking for Intel or just curious to see what others are finding. Cheers DS

Any time I pull out a silver, I consider it a successful hunt ;-). Nice going Rick, looks like a field that you can get back to many times.

Yet again another great hunt Rick, love the Fish Scale! That field looks like it's perfect for digging (not too high etc)too bad things got so deep though.
