Did not have much too do this afternoon , took the penny out and start to count them to see how much i remove out of the ground. 2085 penny for 2014 season. Will go threw them again to see if there is any old ones. Lots of holes dug for penny. Attachments:

Nice save on the coppers. Roll and bank will take them. Up to 32 rolls myself. My rock tumbler dies so it's the sink for the rest. best of the season me bouy to youz and da brood!

I will make a bit of search on it , but i think they would be worth more in scrap. Might even call a place where they buy metal in town. If anyone know if the penny is worth more in scrap.

Almost positive it's illegal to scrap metal candien currency They are not in use anymore. Yeah. I know. But look it up, they still count as canadien currency. And because of the fact they aren't 100% copper and the more modern ones are zinc, it's not legal.

Kind of figure it out that our gouverment would not like the idear of us small peoples to make a few extra bucks , was also talking to one of my friend who is scrap picking and he was telling me , there talking about giving receipt for scrap metal , so you can claim that as a revenue on your tax.

Some people smelt down the coins with other copper and take it in for scrap that way, but it's highly illegal and not worth it IMO.
That's a heck of Alot of digging, good job!

For sure i am not going to scrap them myself , if it would have been legal to scrap them , i would have just brought them to a scrap metal buyer. One way or the other they will get scrap anyway.
