Hey Rick Happy New Year, you are absolutely right, in this case I believe Occam's Razor comes into play; "among competing hypotheses, the one with the fewest assumptions should be selected." I'm not the luckiest person in the world to find a new coin. I will include another picture, hopefully of better quality that you can compare the letter C and G. If you compare the mint mark "G" with the "C" in the word BENEDICTV to the left, I can see a difference. Unfortunately the picture do not do it justice, but it does show under the loupe. I may need to get higher resolution pictures and send it private email. Thanks again for your input, I'm hoping it's a new rare coin, but I have not won the lottery yet, so why should I start now :-) Cheers tony

I'm Sorry ! But that still has to be one of the Coolest things I have ever seen ! Almost ... and I say ... almost ... glad I didn't find it . Can I touch it ?
