Well me bouy a second generation Pro or the T2...either is a gud bet. My at pro have 4 season in it , always gave me good result. With the money exchange it make all detector more expensive to buy.

That could be easily recovered in one season. Love the Pro in the Uk.....a notch above but more and more I see the Techetiks there and the fisher F75.

Then again have over 20 years on the Freedom series.....not a good bet for depth but great for clad on playing fields and parks where depth is not an issue. Gud luck on whatever you choose....be one with your machine.

Retriever, yes exchange rate SUCKS ! Like you say 69 cent dollar means an American dollar costs us 1.436 (today on kitco) I know very well I just bough myself a new "toy" an electric bike, price 1500 US, on Dec. 12 my cost was 2113.oo Canadian. (see attached pic., I love it, goes up hills with no pedaling !) Anyway you have an AT Pro, what else ? What criteria are you looking for in a new detector....more depth, better separation, better on salt beach, lighter weight ? The F75 Leslie mentioned is pretty awesome, the newest version is far superior to the older (noisy) model. I like my Teknetics Omega better than AT Pro, and it too has a new version coming out with backlit screen, boost mode, and some other new features. A couple of my friends (one is my usual hunting partner)are swinging the XP Deus, and loving it. Tesoro's are great, but built no better than any other, exact same shafts, exact same plastic housings, and coils. I used one for a year, a deleon, great machine, but my beef with Tesoro is that they only have one tone, and that drove me nuts. The tesoro fans will say they don't need "bells, and whistles" well I agree, I could live without a digital screen no problem, but come on people at least give us three tones. Three tones have been around since the sixties, it's not what you'd call "bells, and whistles" some 40+ years later. I'll tell you that if you could decide very quickly I can save you 10%, but I was just warned that my prices / costs are going up any day, they are currently based on a US dollar costing 1.31 Canadian. I picked up a Euro-tek Pro with a 8"coil...what a great little detector for the money..get's about 8" on a clad dime and 9.5" with the 11" coil. It separates well in heavy iron sites, very light weight and well balanced. If your looking for a backup detector you may want to consider looking at one..I love it.. won't be giving this one up:) It's also is very easy to use and setup...great for a newbie if ya want to take a partner with you. Read some of the reviews on it:)

I got a screamin' deal when I bought my ATPro off Seatec a year ago last fall.It was only a couple years old and in "Like New" condition. It came with 2 coils, 2 sets of earphones, Garrett pinpointer 2 plug knives, shoulder harness, soft shell case, Garrett hip pouch, a sand sifter scoop, small aluminum spade and the manual. He even thru in an ATPro ball cap ... $700 for the works. I didn't even try to talk him down on price.
He was even gracious enough to meet me in Truro in a parking lot by the highway ..Lol went down like a drug deal . Outta his trunk and into the back of my Tucson. Thanks again Seatec ... where ever you are ....AT is being well looked after.

Yeh I think so Retriever ... in his own way . He just wasn't using it as much as he had hoped so he figured he might as well give it to a good home where it would be used. I've been doing a little homework on the off season and plan to swing some target areas I've been pining over.
