I'm not sure how many of you may watch the Youtube detecting videos but they can be very helpful. I throw these out to all those novices like myself who are unsure of how to clean up your finds without destroying them.
Here are some methods of cleaning your finds from Aquachigger ...two on silver coins and one on cleaning copper coins ( one I wish I would have seen before trying to clean my 1919 Newfoundland one cent piece) I hope these are of some benefit to our forum members.

Absolutely Les ... I'd be very interested in knowing any methods you or other members have used and may prefer as well! I've tried both a Vinegar -Salt process and one with Peroxide as well.
When I first found the 1919 penny it cleaned up fabulously
Now it looks like this ! Can I get that "Like New" look back ?
