I'm not seeing too much being posted lately so I thought I'd throw up a picture of all the fishscales I've found so far this year. Two of these came from a park in Truro and the rest were from here in Dartmouth. The 1871 example is the oldest 5 Cent coin I've ever dug and is from the second year of production. Judging by the condition I'd say it was lost sometime early in it's life. notice the change in the crown. In 1902 they changed from what was known as "the queen's crown" to the "king's crown".
