Just wanted to add my welcomes to the site, and give another plug for Rick. I bought my detector (Fisher F2) from him last fall, and I have no complaints.

Hi Ms Capebreton,
I'm Rick. The AT Pro is a pretty good choice, good depth performance, and features you just can't get on any other detector.
Welcome to the little "family"

Beaches are definitely one of the easier places to start (I started last year). Mira was good in the summer, found a gold ring at Point Michaud. I tried Ingonish late last year and had zero signals. I've been researching some older sites. If you are interested in going out together, let me know.
