The skies were clear as the CLUE (Cosmic League of Universal Explorers) radio wave signaled a distress signal from the Vegas Quadrant from a fellow ship the Nogo Sojo a science vessel crewed by the best and brightest CLUE scientists from headquarters. HQ immediately dispatched C.L.U.E. stealth battlejet, Nova 9 to assist the research vessel. Travelling at max speed of 9.6 warp crunch the battle jet speed towards the wormhole at Kirk Rd Pulling out of warp crunch within an hour 15 seconds. Immediately the 1st Cohort in charge of Nova 9 noticed debris all over the quadrant. The Nogo Sojo was no where to be seen. A scan detected particles from a molecule separator which was a weapon banned for many year by all members of all worlds of C.L.U.E. Following the trail of the weapon the Nova encountered a mass of black matter that the 1st Cohort dove into discovering the planet of Flog. The horror, the horror as the planet was full of gold courses and 4 armed of hairy green blobs swinging at a white round object with the ferocity of a herd of charging drunk skunkhogs. Suddenly a white glob headed towards his ship which was orbiting the planet. The weapons office was ordered to fire a string of proton blasts that rocket the battlejet as it was fired. The Floggers had attacked with no notice, no negotiations and without regards for anything. That was it! 1st Cohort Blue of Nose again turned to his weapons officer and gave the order, "Dam the golf balls and fire every weapon we have at the hole that leads to the core of this warped planet. The weapons landed in the hole in one in unison causing a rippled effect that blew the planet to smitherines! So much for peaceful exploration of space. The lost scientists would be remembered.

Work is like that
The 2nd day back to work after my UK vacation was a bash. Ended up in the Cobequid Emergency Dept. While laying on a bed in one of the rooms awaiting a doctor to further examine me my mind wondered. Thought of our at work "Punster" Peter who is always running off the puns like a soup sandwich. One he had told me the day before came to mind...now was the time to use it as the doctor and nurse entered. Mind you everyone was masked.
Weakly I sat somewhat upright and moaned to the doctor..."If you tell me I have 6 months to live I'm going to shoot you and get 20 to life."
The doctor ignored my remark but I heard a light laugh from the nurse who in turn got a rather stern look from the doctor.
Thinking that is the reason it took so long for the chest xrays and blood tests took so long. left the hospital with a puffer and I don'[t even smoke!

A face only a mother could love A day off! Dusted off the cob webs of Zen Guru (AT Pro) whom I am sure feels very neglected as he has just been hanging around the spare bedroom and not coming out. Deciding where to go well that was another matter me son. Checked the tide charts. It was low tide so my mind was made up and too boot close to home. Lord love a duck the park was a refugee camp for mobile manure makers as there was at least a dozen in every shade under the sun running around off leash sniffing, barking growling and lifting a leg to the nearest tree. Undaunted I began to swing close to the water and instantly rewarded with a Canuck 5 cent piece with the middle completely corroded. Just goes to show what 5 cents is worth these days. Can recall the beaver getting one a package of sports cards with a rock hard piece of bubble gum. Got sniffed, barked at along with giving a few back pats to the more civilized triple "M's." A parade of defunct coppers came my way along with a quarter which I'll use to help cover the cost of crossing the McKay Bridge. Moving along the shore line southeast with my entourage of yappers I eyeballed a monster....truck that is along with a face that only a mother could love. A 1st fur dis bouy! Sort of looks like my mate Jim in the UK who I'll see in a few weeks. Shoulder let me know that it was time to head home. At least there there was peace and quiet. Not too mention an amazing stand of blue, mauve and white orchids which I trust will get me out of the basement of the dog house! Stopped at my auto shop where my new pole for the sieve was ready. The last pole was made by a Dominican whist on vacation there. gave the bouy $20 US as I recall. Thought for a moment that I was a pope as he danced for joy and almost kissed my hand. We often take those lads for granted. Work hard for what they are paid. Sort of reminds me of the modern day folks that work on cruise ships! Home in time to watch the Athletics and Angels play........bliss!

While working on my stamp collection after work came up with this souvenir sheet. In a senior's moment I thought, just for an instance that he looked vaguely familiar....Justin Trudeau! Then again I have never voted in my life...for either man.

Well Trudeau has legalized drugs, liquor and betting has just about ended ones vices. So waiting fur him to legalize prostitution which in itself creates a dilemma fur dis bouy...should I sell myself by the pound or by the hour?

Seems like every stop light in the city is patrolled by a fellow walking up and down the boulevard with his cup out. Never the same person at the same place. Thinking that if one can do that which requires minimal intelligence and mobility one can pick fruit and vegetables during the summer and get paid plus housing; a win win solution to some of the social problems plaguing our area. Find it a tad disturbing at the garbage they leave plus the ruts in the grass as well as being a traffic hazard! Of course during bad weather one never sees them at their "post." Sad that farmers have to get migrant workers to do this while there is a labor force right at home!
