Awesome first dig, it's going to be a hard act to follow, once you get an id on the button, please post. I made the offer to buy the coffee at Tim's, after a day like that, the coffee's on you ;-) Great day!
Nice haul Tony! I wouldn't even invite you to Tim's after that thrashing. That Free Masons fob is a majorly cool find. Any idea on the vintage, it looks hand made.
And yes, it would probably be a wise bet to quit while you're ahead. Everything from here on in is going to just be boring stuff as I recall, like French silver and the such...
Managed to decode the hallmark on the back, it was made in Chester England in 1909, rang up in the mid 40's on the ATPro. Don't think it's handmade, you can find many similar examples for sale on the Internet. Still hoping that we can get together for a hunt this summer and I'll buy the coffee this time at Tim's
You're right Tony, it can only go downhill from here. You might as well give all you're gear away! I have someone in mind. Seriously though, That's a fantastic day out. One you'll never forget. I hope that every outing you have is just as good. and remember, you said you'd take P and I out sometime (wink).
Go get more. Thanks Tony
Sorry to hear, hope your're feeling better, it's digging season and it sure sucks to waste it ;-)
