From the land of the Bluenose.....recall my first waking thought was where to go a digging or swishing. Of course Hunny Bunny had other ideas......her nephew, "The Gipper" had football and asked if I would like to come watch him play so we were off to the field. Spent ten minutes warming up the Gipper which brought back fond memories of high school and college games. Sure missing play sports! Think I embarassed the poor bouy as he tried to hide under a pilon! After the outing Hunny Bunny set me free and with the Seahunter MK11 in the trunk it was a no brainer what this bouy did at a local lake scoffing a spinning ring (stainless steel) and a few coins. Rather tired and sore after the swish but there was no rest for the wicked as we loaded up Donna Marie with a scoff of food and Hunny Bunny's best friend Heather and headed to Elmsdale for the annual LeRue PIcnic. First order of the day was the washer toss tournament which paried me up with brother in law Ken who was busy guarding the Cape Breton flag least some one burn it! Girls were gathering to play and root for their favs...more like a yaking bee I'ze think! Ken and I lost a heartbraker in the quarter finals and Jim and his grand son took the honors this year. The "senior" Lerue clan members staying out of the sun and awaiting the fire works. Lot of work getting the show ready! The sun slowly sinks into the collaige of colours. Darkness falls and the show begins. (need some photgraphy lessons for this night shooting stuff)

Like a bear that fell in the honey jar, it will probably take you a week to burn off all the good food!! Too bad I wasn't to try for the horseshoe title!! All the best to the Larue clan, as I can't say enough thanks for the hospitality they should me last year!! Can't forget the great hospitality that is shown to me when I visit your home Leslie.
All the best to Marie & you. Good digging & good luck!!
