I love digging for things. Always have. I go out four or five times a week looking for old stuff and by the end of the season I have a few dirty, worn out but cool things. Today was no different than many other days, stop for coffee on the way out, pay with a toonie so I can look at the quarter change, keep going. Today ( and this is the third time this has happened to me in four years ) the girl at the cash gives me some change and I look at it and see that one of the nickles is a 1945 "V" nickle...cool, don't see many of those anymore. She sees me looking at it and asks me If I would rather have a "new" one. 'No, no....do you have any more?' 'Oh I think so' she says and opens the till to look. Found 20 more old nickles so I gave her a loony and thanked her very much. Last time this happened it was four rolls of silver quarters! Anyway, kinda makes me wonder why I spend so much time digging when I could just go down to the coffee shop. Here's the tally; 1929, 1930, 2X 1931, 2X 1935, 1936, 5X 1944, 7X 1945, and 2X 1951. Hmmmm... think I'll go out digging tonight anyway.

So, where'd you get that horseshoe surgically implanted again. I always check my change and best I've ever found is an American quarter. I made 4 cents in 5 seconds... Woo hoo.

DS Guess I shouldn't tell you about all the loonies and toonies I've been pulling out of that field where we met last week. I'm up to $54 in change and that nice silver ring, and still have half the field to go. Having said that, I'd rather find the stuff you find.
