Hi all,
The last few times I have been out I have noticed my GB numbers are not changing when I do the "Auto" ground balance on my ATP. I even tried lowering the numbers or making them high and it still will not make sound or change when trying to auto GB.
Anybody else have this problem? Thanks

"last few times" sounds strange unless it was at the same or relatively same place. The important thing is it didn't stop you from finding stuff did it ?
If everything else is OK i'd say nothing is wrong. You won't find this in the garrett manual, but in places with few minerals there is nothing for the computer to "grab on to" so it can't "figure it out"
Does your MD typically GB about the same everywhere you go ? Mine will GB around here "typically" high 80's to 90, My Omega is typically at 65 or so. If your in a spot where it won't auto GB just put in the range where it would typically be, or better still do it manually, it's good to know how to do. As well it probably won't auto GB at the beach either.
Furthermore for most of us coinshooting or relic hunting it is JUST NOT THAT CRITICAL, as it seems everyone makes it out to be. The exception is someone searching for pin-head nuggests where there is quite a bit of black sand. And basically the proof of that is there are some very decent detectors with a fixed GB, they can find deep stuff too.
There is also quite a bit of talk on some forums of throwing GB out of skew to get some magical depth increase, just isn't true.

Everything else seems to be working just fine besides the Auto GB. Mine comes in the same as yours usually 88-91. There appears to be a problem with the Auto GB feature but I can live with that.
