Went for a dig this am to test out the new Makro Pinpointer It started with a 6in deep puddle put it in and left it while I got my gear ready 10 min later I took it out dried it turned it on worked like a charm Makro 1 pro point 0 Volume super Makro 2 PP 0 4 levels of sensitivity Makro 3 PP 0 LED light on when you want it off when you don't Makro4 PP 0 The Makro is a very robust pointer well made and with great balance and ease of handling how long it will last we will have to wait and see The price is about the same as a PP and the 2 extra tip covers is a bonus. I forgot the depth is about 4 in on a Canadian quarter. HH all

Cool, thanks for the report ND. BTW, where did you purchase it? You mentioned the volume is louder, that's always been a complaint of mine that with headphones on, you can't hear it, you have to feel the vibrations instead.
Cheers, DS
