I'm looking for someone down here in Cole Harbour myself. I've lost track of how many places I've gone to and ended up filling in holes some Douchbag (apt word) has dug up and not filled in. To make matters worse, he leaves the garbage on top and just walks away! Last place I found with his handywork was a school football field! When I finally run into him (and I will), I'm calling the cops myself and will have him charged with public vandalism.
If WE don't put a stop to this abuse, the authorities WILL, by banning metal detecting on public property. This is already starting to happen in big cities in the U.S.. I'd like to think that we're better than that.
Crap like this does happen, but not when i'm around.

I know what you mean by that , i have seen it the first year i started. thrash left behind and holes not cover. and some guy came after me at a park complaining that there was one guy with a round shovel doing holes and not covering them, at first i was sure he work for the city until he had a magic smoke next to me. Same as beach everyone who own a metal detector go there once a year and they leave all the trash behind.
