went back to a permission that my detecting buddy acquired for us, found my second military button on the site, not as exciting as the Kings American Dragoons, but just as historic, the Royal Fusiliers of 1812. It's small so it's probably a cuff button. Cheers Tony

Ok, crazy coincidence. Last Friday CG and me were out for a few hours and came back with a bag full of buttons. He had one with a funny pattern on it. I IDed it as the same button you have there as I'd found one last summer. Ours were both coat buttons though. So three of them on this site in a year. Cool. Nice find BTW!
Cheers DS

My buddy sold his for $1700, so I'm going to hang on to mind for a bit longer. Cheers TM

Whoa, seriously? I would have never guessed something that wasn't in showroom condition would be worth that much! Man, a few of those and I'd have that CTX3030 I'm Jonesing for. Nicely done!

I hear ya DS, here in eastern Canada this is the holy grail of buttons, extremely rare but they are found. If you find the belt plate from the Dragoons, going rate is $20,000 US

Here's a picture of mine. Poor condition compared to yours, but I haven't cleaned it up at all either. It's a little larger than a quarter.
