Howdy 
My name is Chris and I live just outside of Edmonton, Alberta. I'm in a couple of other forums as CCSportsdad or as my YouTube channel name CCDetecting and Scrapping (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyW87Tgnr3bJp8eu6RGU5jA). BlueNoser gave me a link to a post on here when I asked a question about a nickle Navy Davy had found (very cool nickle).
I bought a bounty hunter pioneer 505 and started metal detecting in the summer of 2012 but never really got into it that much. I would go out every now and then but nothing serious. This fall however I started getting the itch to go out and after I got home from the first outing, I couldn't wait to get back out again. I went out as much as my schedule would allow and I had more fun than i had before. Equipment failure (my pointer died my last outing) has ended my season before the snow flies but i am already looking at getting some new stuff and can't wait to get back out in the Spring when the ground thaws.
When I am not spending time with my fiance or hanging with my kids and grandson, I love getting out Metal Detecting and I am also into metal and electronic recycling as a side hobby that generates a small amount of income.
That's a brief intro aboutme, I look forward to reading and seeing all the cool things you find.
