As it is our right of passage to complain about the discomforts of the advancing years so it is our prerogative to complain about bad service. The brunt of this is the Superstore that I stop in on my way to work. Each day I go there to add a little treat to my box lunch. On this particular day oysters were advertised as 3 for $6. So that days treat was a can of oysters at what i thought was a fair price.
The cashier scanned it then indicated that the purchase would be $2.50. With tax I was expecting to pay $2.30. I brought that to the cashiers attention getting a response that was akin to a buried clam. At that point it became clear that English to her was like Flemish to me. This was further fortified by the fact that she grabbed a flyer and pointed at........cans of tuna!. paid her.
I then walked out vowing never to return to that store again. Over reacting, naive or a deceived shopper? Take your pick!
