Just thought I'd join up as I see the link for Leslie's own site and from the land of the Bluenose, lol
My name is Glen Fiddich but you can call me Glenfiddich, or Glen (I've been called worse, lol) and I am from Edinburgh in Scotland in the UK
I have been detecting now for around 17 years, I have been lucky in that time to have found quite a lot of both British and European medieval hammered coins and a little bit of Viking silver artifacts too, my best find to date is my Roman silver denarius scattered hoard which I found in Scotland about three years ago consisting of 45 coins.
Currently I am in sunny Krakow in Poland with Mrs Fiddich on a much needed holiday (Krakow is our second home) and the weather is superb right now, today is our eight day here and we still have tomorrow to go as well before flying back to Edinburgh late in the evening and it's been hot and sunny the whole time with typical temperatures of 25oC to 31oC the whole time we have been here
