On Friday the provincial government announced that certain parks and trails were open. I loaded up Nogo and headed on out the old road with the windows open and the music playing. Stopped three times on the way to dig and was not disappointed as quota plus 5, ($13.95) a junker ring, golf egg that would not stay still long enough to photograph, bug 3 coloured ink markers that work and a challenge token. Only the 3rd one I have ever dug. Pleased to say the least. Took the highway coming back with the river banks lined with the opening of fishing season. Wildlife......a racoon who will be in heaven soon, a deer who didn't quite make it across the road like his 2 friends(feel bad for the car that hit it but everyone okay), a rabbit who will not be running anymore and on an exit a carnivorous cat that eats money (Giant Tiger dept store) which got some of my cash. For those who do not know about a challenge token it works like this; so I'm told. If you walk into a bar and challenge a fellow and he cannot produce his military token he has to buy you a beer and if he does have it you have to buy a brew for him. Once home it was a very hot shower, body covered with Rub 8535 and witch doctor concoctions. That didn't seem to work so I gave the challenge token to Marie and told her to ask me if I had mine....well that lasted through a 6 pack. Night is still young. Been hinting that there is a question that she must ask me for the rest of the day or at least till the Bud is all gone.
