Humbled

Another warm humid day. Navy Davy was not available so I headed out the door with Marie in tow. Dropped her off at her sister's and continued on to a local schoolyard. Had done this place so many times, had taken so many quotas that I was expecting; no hoping , that I had cleaned the place out. Felt like just walking and swinging without doing some knee bends. In the zone. Noticed a beautiful hummingbird moth near the edge of the field. What one sees when the camera is left home. My peace and solitude was interrupted by Quota Guru #2 and out popped a junker (non precious metal ring) followed by several coins. This was humbling as I thought I was that good that I had gotten everything. Even after over 50 years at the hobby I have things to learn about my machines! The old saying that no one gets it all rang so true. With a fall rain (actually I was sweating so bad I had a shower coming from my forehead) along with Niagara Nose called it quits after only a half hour as I got sort of uncomfortable as the dig progressed. A wake up call that it was time to get home and take my meds. After a real shower I settled in on the couch and tackled Germany putting stamps from the stock books into my album. Must say filling empty spaces there was just about as rewarding as digging and a halibut a lot less strenuous! Of course the real gem for the day was England 1 and Iceland nil! Still celebrating with the Captain Morgan and coke. Attachments:
