With all the snow on the ground atm , I was going to buy myself a brand new machine an sell my at pro international. Kinda realized there might be 3hrs of use on it , bought second from a guy that got disabled. The machine was new in the box never used. Had a good deal on it since he was getting rid of it. At first that was the back up in case my old at pro would break down. Sold the old one almost 3 years ago . And the new one been sitting for almost five years. I’ve decided to go for a 9x12 concentric coils , heard good review on it. And also a different set of Garrett headphones , pick a new digger , new pouch. I already have a barely used pro pointer. Just getting ready for hopefully an early spring . I haven’t done any land hunting in the past years , spend most of the time water hunting. As soon as I get the new coils will runs some test on it.

Good idea. had my Pro back to the factory 5 times and have given up on Garrett although I have 7 and have only swung that brand.
Hope that the new one works out okay. Big challenge these days in the hobby is finding new spots as the number of newbies is enormous.
Just hoping the spring does come early and that one can be able to swing!@

It’s a tough hobby for newby, what you see on YouTube or tv , it’s totally different. They don’t show the thrash ratial , they only show the rings and the silver . Or how many pulltabs your going to dig for a gold ring. There is some good information for setting and equipment , locations. But also a lots of false information. Same as beach hunting if you don’t have the proper machine, sorry to say but you are wasting your time. With the bad money exchange we get for Canadian dollar you don’t have any other choice to research and read some reviews on a machines before buying , they are was more expensive than what it use to be 10years ago. But for the Garrett machines so far I’ve had 2 , sold the first one a couple of years ago . Beside the arm cuffs and the headphones that broken , never really have any serious problem with it.
