I am in Texas, about as far away from Canada as one can get and still be in the US. So, I am not very knowledgeable on the newer Canadian coins. I tried a few under the coil of the Deus, and it doesn't like them at all. I have a Canadian friend that visits down here every year and hunts in Canada in parks and schools. He has a Whites V3I and likes it but is thinking about a different brand because Garrett may one day not be able to repair the White's. He is looking for a detector that would be a good choice in finding those pesky Canadian clad coins. He does not care about hunting in the water, in pastures or even for deep coins. He just wants one that will find the clad so he can get some exercise and find some clad while out. I would like to hear from you guys and I will forward the info to him. Thanks!

The components of the modern money is the problem, every coins below the 2000’s are very easy to know what it is , after 2000’s the toonie and the loonie are the only one I always sure of what they are. Modern money is as good as old bottle cap in the ground. I’ve been using an at pro international for a lots of years , you get used to your machine and the numbers it give you.
