From the land of the Bluenose.....went out yesterday in 100kph winds and dug. What a goofus but had things on my mind and when that happens digging is the cure. Interesting as the Freedom 3 Plus was playing a nice tune through the holes in the shaft and almost swinging itself one way.....the other way, well lets just say it was a challenge! Got quota and headed home with a good tailwind. 55 coins @ &7.20 added to "special fund." Today the weather was made for digging and Navy Davy and I motored on down the road and dug. Nothing special found till ND hit a nice military button with the loop still on the back. A short time later I unearthed a 1949 quarter and we dug some more and that was that. Navy Davy's pile. My pile.

Killer finds, the button is really cool I will have to try and find more info on that one. I was out in that wind as well. I hit Cow Bay but the beach wasn't very good for MDing. The wind was off shore so the beach didn't have any cuts in it. It did make for quite a scene though. The water at the beach was pretty much flat but off shore it was boiling.

Nice Button Dave, looks unusual with it's "written" "Canada" ?
Congrats Les on a Silver Q. (Geo VI no less) they are sure not a common find, silver quarters that is. Quick math says about 1 per 1000 holes. Gold rings are about 1 per 4000, that's giveb I dig a lot of nickels, (and therefore pull tabs)
Nicw hunt, and a nice day for it. The weather is awesome.
