Seems like a life time since I got out last as I have worked every day off for the past few weeks. Navy Davy and I headed out at 0730hrs did the dew at a park. He on land with his Tecknetics and I in the drink with the newly reconditioned Seahunter Mk11....Myra at Garrett....a big thanks! Both hit a few coins and nose deep in the water this showed up in my scoop. Shortly thereafter we hit another park digging up a few more coins of the realm. ND and I were done in and he dropped me off home. After a feed and a bottle of Boost I went to a local ballfield with the Pro to finish off quota. Week from today it's "Digfiest UK" The other day it was Maries's niece, Abagail's Christening (thinking dear Abby was coping a few zees throughout the whole thing)...Lord love a duck it took Marie forever to give Abby back to her mom.....imagine starting another family at 62....................son of a seahorse not this bouy! Welcome to the Lord's community Abby!

Never thought Marie would give Abagail (her niece) back to her mother! Think Abby was copping a few zees. Not impressed at all! Welcome Abby to the Lord's Community

Super hot and muggy day again! Hit a soccer field with the Freedom 3 Plus scoring a few goodies and a slew of coppers. Then it was off to the lake to cool down. Darn..........place was closed due to high bacteria count in the water so off to another location....this one open. Into the drink with the pro and pulled out a nice silver ring. As usual the world/s smallest fiddle played its tune as the knee and my swinging shoulder made me call it a day but not before quota was made. The bangle is quote nice with nice engraving but a junker just the same. Hunny Bunny leaving me today for another man.....Her and her sister Linda off to see Rascal Flats....some dud in a cowboy hat who sings like a strangled cat I suppose! Know your getting old when every one you would like to see in concert is .....................dead!

Let's be blunt. You! You and yes you! We have all suffered this debilitating disorder. P.W.T.D. (post work traumatic disorder) should not be confused with LSD, Ti Chi, STD or even THC! Symptoms include dropping a file folder with none of the paper work scattering over the floor and while standing up again knocking over your Man U. coffee cup...hearing it smarter on the floor, taking your favorite pen out of your pocket and finding that the pen is dry then looking at your shirt which is full of ink or putting your egg salad sandwich in the fridge and going back five hours later and finding that you have actually put it in the freezer. To compound this symptom do not and I repeat do not nuke it....not a pretty sight! Other symptoms do occur and I am sure you can add a few to this list as research continues! The cure...well there is none but a remedy of 2 parts Freedom 3 Plus by land added to one part Pro in the water helps. Working up a good sweet on land....feeling the earth between your fingers followed by a dip in the water...waist high and letting that prim evil yell alleviates the symptoms once quota is obtained. Other treatments include a mind sail with Capt. Morgan (should be in the company of a responsible fellow digaholic). Most common side effects include dizziness, drunken sailor grids and a cold shoulder from ones significant other. The causes include a person under your charge telling you to go pound sand , a person under your charge telling you to stick your head someplace that the sun never shines or unrealistic duties that the boss thinks are the norm for the workplace. Again researchers are constantly adding to this research. For those that fortunate enough to have a mate in the UK...16 days at the "Digging Debauchery Clinic" works wonders...side effect from this treatment are brutal......see above after sailor grids and a cold..............................

Also if you find old farms try at the end of the fields over the posts...whichever end is lower!

Got off at 0530hrs and hooked up with Navy Davy. Been a while since we have gotten out together for a dig. Upon arrival we were a tad sad as all the sand sculptures were decimated! Did the dew scoffing some coins of the realm then headed to another beach. At this location the air was polluted with "noseeems" who delighted in having dinner on us! ND scoffed a few coins and a trio of dinkies. Oh dear! Well at least deer tracks on the beach! Place was a cornucopia of wild life as we also saw a fox, porcupine sand pipers, rabbits and these crazies out surfing waiting for the right wave. Day was starting to catch up with me as it was well over a day since I had last been in the sack.........sleep!

After "puruzing" (cross between patrolling and cruising....old police term) the detecting forums to have a gander at the great stuff fellow detectorists had found. Inspired I decided to head out on a combo dig with the Pro for the water and the Freedom 3 Plus for land. Hit a penny rich schoolyard finding a butterfly dewy in the process. Close to quota I over heated and adjourned to the water pulling out a nice 925 "O". Knee as usual started to act up so I called it a day. Quota plus one, junker ring, silver ring, buckle, butterfly dewy and one day closer to the UK trip!

Would if I could sir...not a gps fellow. If you find old farms the far end on the down slope is usually where the dumps are. Good luck.

For sure...always take the second look. Learned that in the Uk with Jim...almost threw a gold hammie away thinking it was a top of foil of a wine bottle.
One month and I'll be in the UK....16 glorious days!

Great day here and Marie was off so a driving (D#1) we went. Of course the Freedom 3 Plus found it's way in the trunk. Stopped an hour later at a park for a break from the nuts on the highway who I swear thought it was the Canadian Grand Pix! Marie watched as I dug(D#2) She caught me during one of my finest moments....trying to straighten up! Wasn't long before the heat got to me and I was drenched (D#3).Shortly thereafter I dug up 2 dinkies as Marie adjourned to Nogo with the portable DVD player to watch some Mike and Molly....her own personal drive-in(D#4) 51....coins....I was done (D#5) in and quota had. Of course my day consorting with the park cost me dinner(D#6) at the Big Stop a.k.a. the "Pig Stop." Food was..................................................................................disappointing!
