Dime Time Navy Davy and I headed to one of our permissions that we do once a year. The owner of the property was not a t home so we went to plan "B" which was a local park. First thing we were greeted by was a big sign saying beware of bears. Last thing one would want to do is run into a walking rug! With one eye looking west and one going east the dig was on. Some one forgot to invite the coins as after an hour we had less than 10 between us although ND was his usual welcome wagon self having conversations with dog walkers and retired "hairy bags" (slang for sailors) . No bears to go along with few coins but the view was spot on as the woods showed a kaleidoscope of cornucopia colors. Headed back to the permission where we lucked out. Navy Davy was in the dime mode ending up with 11 dimes of his total of 32 coins. A perfect day to dig in a perfect place where I whimped out after about an hour and half. On the bright side I got a note saying that I am now officially on a 4 year waiting list for shoulder with no date yet for the hip and other knee. Wine, wine wine! Nd was the coin leader for the day . My meager offerings included a spoon, a clip and 24 coins.
