Lucky guy! The next couple days will give you a chance to get out and be totally confus...I mean, try it out! I transitioned from a Bounty Hunter to an AT Pro a few years ago and found it very frustrating at first. My only word of advice is to start off in an area that's relatively free of trash. You don't need too much information thrown at you all at once.
If you're having problems figuring it out, give us a shout. Truro's not that far, we'll come out for coffee and a short dig.

I haven't quite mastered the ground balancing that's for sure don't know if it's supposed to be chirping so much. Do you just get used to the constant chatter or is there a way to fix it?

First try turning the sensitivity down. Running it full open is like playing a pinball machine.

I will be busy tomorrow, but we live close so I am more than happy to help you out with it if you need the help. Pin-pointing will be tough at first going from the concentric coil of your BH to the DD of the ATP, BUT after you get used to it you will find it easier than the BH.
I'd try some easy spots like tot-lots with pea gravel until you get used to it.
Good luck.
PS: Make sure the coil connector is lined up and turned in all the way, if it is loose ( it does tend to loosen) you could expirence the random beeping , also the same CAN be caused by a cell phone.

Just went outside and tested something. When it's in standard zero mode there's little to no chirping. But in pro zero there's a constant chirp. Anybody k ow why this is?

By default iron disc is at zero, since you "probably" won't want any targets in the iron range ??, turn up iron disc to 40, or as some others prefer 35. This will(should) make a lot of unnecessary noise go away.
Give that a try, and let us know your results.
By the way it doesn't mean you won't dig "any" iron.
