After a demanding 12 hour shift I quickly headed home grabbed a pair of swimming trunks, the Pro and headed to a local beach. Man was it hot and humid! Set the pro at pro zero mode, 2 bars down and iron at my lucky number...19. Waist high in the drink I was the recipient of some unwanted attention as a horse fly was bugging the heck out of me. After several vain attempted I got the sucker as it rested on my forearm. It hit the water with it legs kicking at the sky. No quicker than blink and fish came up and swallowed it. Poetic justice nature style. I lost the horse fly but was then shadowed by a trout who was looking for a free meal. Every time I brought the sieve up as the sand filtered through it there he was. 4 bobby pins later this silver number appeared in my sieve..................not sure who it is but kind a thinking with the F.D. at the top stands for fire department....only guessing. Did not protect my antagonist who made some trout a quick snack!

Monday 1015hrs The light sand slipped through the sieve revealing a shining gold ring. Pocketed it continuing to swish in the water that was like one would expect in a bath tub. Targets scarce but was in the zone after finding my second gold ring in as many swishes. 1100hrs Was that time....to get home and ready for work so I started to exit the water only to be approached by the life guard who questioned me as to my finds. She indicated that a fellow's young one had lost a signet ring there last Thursday. "Do you mean this one" I responded? "Maybe. I have a photo on my phone of it. Yes that is it. Have the mans name. I'll call him." "I'll leave my card and he can call me." I retorted. 1230hrs On my way to work ready for another knock them down and drag them out day. The norm at my workplace. 1430hrs Marie calls me at work. Immediately uneasy as she does not have a propensity to call . Turned out a Mr. Patterson had called about the ring. Hunny Bunny gave me the number and I called. 1435hrs Arrangement was made to meet the gentleman after work at the Tim's under repair near my abode. 2215hrs Mr. Patterson arrived with his son and pleasantries were exchanged. Turned out his son Issac has an aunt that........when I was 13 living in Chester I dated. Unreal! Talked about Newfoundland and asked about a lady from Stephenville....he knew her to.....very small world. Anyway Isaac was happy to get his ring back. Another golden "O" but this one with a happy ending! Sure felt good to give back to the hobby that for over 4 decades has given me so much joy!

After the Hunny Bunny went shopping with her sisters I did the house work. After no one phoned to go digging I visited my dad. After a coffee I headed to a field and dug a few coins. After getting too hot took the Pro for a swim. After finding this I was too sore to continue and headed home. 10k engraved with a date and intials.

Go to Youtube abd watch the instructional vids on the machine. Hot rocks and wet sand is tough on regular detector. Pulse induction is the way to go on those areas. Good luck!

Contacted the home office and Miss Takemymoney forwarded me to "M".... code name Navy Davy my handler. He had a mission for me but could not tell me as the line may not be secure. By the sounds of it things on the home front were heating up....getting a bit dicey! ND gave me the code......K.L.R.F.C. Took a while for me to decode it. Kearny Lake Road first church. Driving there in Nogo I found the sign in front of the church which said "A smile adds to your face value" while the other side read "We have prayer conditioning in our church. Be damned ND and his bloody codes. De cyphered.... see "Q" at "G" Branch and take out the reconditioned AT Pro and bring down Mr. Quota. Never say Never to "M." Bleeding heartless bugger as I had just completed the "Dog with 3 legs" assignment over the past weekend which zapped me! Mingling with all the "family" over the past weekend weekend just to solidify my cover. For Queen and province! Armed with the Pro and the Freedom 3P as back up I headed out like a thunder ball as time was of the essence. Managed to extricate a few members of the C.C.C. (Crudy Clad Crew) along with a ring leader... Mr "925" along with his second "Junker Ring." Time was running out. My old battle wounds getting the best of me before the mission was complete. Returned to my safe house, grabbed a brewski.....soda water and freshly squeezed lime.......stirred not shaken!

Too excited as Friday my fixed Pro was at the local courier service on my way to work. Was on evening shift so I couldn't take her for a go. Woke up and 0520hrs and put her together and headed to the nearest lake. Worked great and no leaking! Then came the land "trials" and again dead bang on. I was high on life.....no not on the "pipe" I found. Quota was had. Headed home to get ready for the annual Family gathering of the clams, dinner, ring toss tourney and fireworks. Feel stuffed already just thinking about all the food that will be there. Brought the Seahunter mk11 when it first became available and let me tell you mister man that machine has seen its share of action, abuse and banging around on numerous trips down south. Have to send it back for repair and have no qualms or issues with that like I did with the Pro Booked for Sept 06 for 16 days in the UK. Still lots extra shifts needed to be worked before that date!
